Sean Wiltshire

Sean was the first employee of Avalon Employment Inc. in 1992. As the CEO, he leads an amazing team in helping make employment a reality for so many folks in our community that have the skills to work! 

Sean has worked around the world supporting businesses and folks in finding their own path to success through employment.

 

Sean is an amazing cook and can often be found sharing his recipes with friends and colleagues, or sharing a funny story with his deep voice and big booming laugh.

Zach Baker

Zach graduated from Memorial University with a degree in Finance. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our agency from the public accounting, and not-for-profit industries. Zach is always on the lookout for ways to improve accounting processes and helping his co-workers budget for the future.

   

Zach is kept busy with his Poodle Archer, who is always on the lookout for new adventures.

Bernadette Conway

As the Office Administrator, Bernadette has been with Avalon Employment Inc. for 2 years. She enjoys spending time with her two girls and travelling with her husband and family. Bernadette loves a good time at the trailer.

Bernadette Doyle

Bernadette is our Payroll Administrator and has been with Avalon Employment Inc for over 20 years. She loves watching her grandson play hockey in the winter and soccer in the summer. Going to the cabin and spending time with her family are her favourite things to do.

Shelley Andrews

Shelley is an Employment Counsellor helping her many clients and their families navigate the world of Employment.  Seeing her clients thrive in their work environments and within their communities gives her immense pride and satisfaction.  Knowing that they feel valued and appreciated is no better feeling. 

 

Shelley also serves as Secretary on the Canadian Association of Supported Employment Board.  In her spare time, Shelley can be found curled up with a good book, cooking, or planning day trips with friends and family.

Jennifer Cox

Jennifer joined the Avalon Employment team in November 2022.  She has been working in a Therapeutic Recreation role, servicing people of all abilities and demographic range for almost 20 years.

 

Jennifer is excited to bring her experience in inclusive programing to the team.

 

Jennifer enjoys her daily walks with her buddy Frank the dog and hanging out with her two energetic boys. She loves unwinding with a good book and mug of tea

Krista Hinks

Krista has been an Employment Counsellor with Avalon Employment Inc. for over 20 years. You will likely work with her on the employment-side of the process here at the agency.

Seeing the individuals we assist realize their potential and to be a part of their successes is still Krista's favorite part of her job. 

On her days off, you can find Krista on a trail hiking and foraging with her dog, Lewie.

Megan Marshall

Megan facilitates the Autism Employment Program at Avalon Employment Inc. With over 20 years experience in the field of Autism and Neurodiveristy, Megan has worked in residential care, therapeutic recreation and education.

 

It was a natural fit for her to join the team at AEI to help develop and launch a now internationally recognized employment program for Autistics.

  

In her down time, Megan is hiking with her two beagles, Frankie and Obi.

Courtney Abbott

Courtney joined the Avalon Employment team in 2023, bringing her experience as a job coach to help foster community connections. 

 

Courtney has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and is currently studying human resources to expand her knowledge of employment practices.

 

In her spare time, you can find her exploring Newfoundland with her camera or playing with her cats.

Ashley Harris

Ashley is a Career Development Coordinator with Avalon Employment. She has been volunteering and working with folks who have Autism and learning differences for the last 20 years.

 

Ashley loves helping job seekers realize their potential and working with them to achieve their goals. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, camping, and hiking.
